Paralegal

Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation, review, and management of legal documents, including commercial agreements, employment contracts, confidentiality agreements, corporate records, and regulatory filings.
- Conduct legal research and provide summaries of legislation, case law, regulatory developments, and industry guidance relevant to the organisation’s activities.
- Support lawyers with contract administration, due diligence exercises, transaction management, and corporate governance matters.
- Maintain legal databases, registers, document management systems, and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate the execution, filing, and storage of legal documents and corporate records.
- Assist with regulatory inquiries, disputes, litigation matters, and interactions with external counsel.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assist in preparing internal updates, policies, templates, and training materials.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather information, track legal matters, and support the efficient delivery of legal services.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- A law degree (LLB or JD) or currently completing legal studies.
- Previous experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or in a similar legal support role.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and document drafting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
- Experience supporting commercial, corporate, regulatory, litigation, or financial services matters is highly regarded.
- A proactive approach, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
The base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to base salary, total compensation may include a discretionary bonus and other employee benefits.
